Typeface Design Plan
My Letters/Numbers: Aa, Bb, Cc & 1,2,3
For the handwritten font I want to do something chalkboard inspired. There are two options I am considering. I'm thinking possibly either a block/bold letter with a shaded in front with dots. Another option I am considering is doing an elegant cursive font.
For the sculptural design I want to use colorful sprinkles. I would arrange the sprinkles into the letters and numbers I've been assigned on a colorful cake plate to tie in the bakingish theme and photograph it.
For the digital design I would like to do a chunky cursive font, or the first option for my handwriting choice (bold block letter with dots).

Helvetica
I found that the Helvetica movie was pretty interesting. When it was first introduced I didn't think it would be very exciting, but it turned out to be interesting. It was cool to see where they started with the font, and how over time they changed it to what it is now (changed the name...). I've always looked at Helvetica as a boring font, but after the movie now I see that by changing the spacing of the letters, and width you can make it more interesting. It's a clean and professional font. I saw all the work the early designers put into just one font. After watching this movie I realize just how much this font is used in our daily life. It's everywhere. From posters, to signs, to business'.
